Student Criteria and General Information (Please read carefully).
Application must be received by May 31st of the Reunion year
- Be a descendant of a Love-Cook Family.
- Have already been accepted and/or attending an accredited college, university, or vocational school.
- Provide a copy of the Letter of Admission or an Advisor’s statement as to the present status of the student. (e.g., fully accepted, non-developmental studies, etc.)
- Have a high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Submit a transcript.
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA in college. Only a college transcript should be submitted if the applicant is in college. The transcript must show your current semester course load and cumulative grade point average.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from the pastor or Sunday School Superintendent along with a letter of recommendation from the school administration, counselor, or teacher.
- Write an essay of at least 350 words about him/herself and his/her reason for wanting to continue his/her education, and how he/she plans to use it to become a productive citizen.
- Exemplify a good social, moral, ethical, and Christian attitude.
- Believe in traditional family values.
- Be interviewed by the screening committee.
- Priority will be given to the families who participate and attend the reunion.
- Submit a current photograph.
A student who has received the scholarship is always eligible to receive the scholarship again if he/she remains in college and meets all the criteria.
General Instructions:
- The application form and supporting documents must be typed.
- A scanned copy of the application and all supporting documents should be submitted together.
- Application deadline is May 31 of reunion year.
